Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Mixer Hub (“Mixer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) at themixer.org. By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy. Related rules of use are in our Terms & Conditions.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Mixer, we may collect:

  • Account information — name, email, password (or OAuth identifiers from Google or other providers), profile photo, bio, education/career details, and similar profile fields you provide.
  • Content you create — event details, Space posts and media, messages, invites, RSVPs, feedback, documents you upload, and Advaizor AI chat inputs/outputs.
  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser/app type, device identifiers, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP or filters you choose (such as city), and diagnostic logs.
  • Integrations — if you connect Google (sign-in, Calendar, Meet), Zoom, LinkedIn, or similar providers, we receive tokens and profile or calendar/meeting data needed to run those features, subject to your authorization with that provider.
  • Communications — messages you send to support or feedback channels, and notification preferences.

Guests may browse limited parts of the Service without an account; we still collect basic technical and usage data needed to operate and secure those pages.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Create and manage accounts; show profiles, events, Spaces, and RSVP/attendance status to the right audiences.
  • Power Advaizor AI and related features using your prompts and relevant context you supply.
  • Send transactional messages (invites, reminders, security notices) and, where allowed, product updates.
  • Personalize discovery (for example recommended events or location filters).
  • Detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the platform.
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.

3. How we share information

We may share information in these situations:

  • With other users — as expected for the feature (public event pages, Space feeds, guest lists visible to hosts, shared chat links you create, and similar).
  • Service providers — hosting, analytics, email delivery, AI model providers, maps, and similar vendors who process data on our instructions.
  • Integrations you connect — data exchanged with Google, Zoom, LinkedIn, or other services you authorize.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of Mixer or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

4. AI features (Advaizor)

When you use Advaizor AI, your prompts and conversation context may be processed by Mixer and by AI infrastructure providers to generate responses. Do not submit secrets, sensitive personal data about others, or information you are not allowed to share. AI outputs can be wrong; review them before relying on them.

5. Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, and understanding how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work if you disable them.

6. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may delete certain content in-product; account closure or deletion requests are handled as described below.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you use the Service at your own risk regarding residual security risks.

8. Your choices & rights

  • Update profile and preference settings in your account where available.
  • Disconnect third-party integrations from your account or the provider’s settings.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable law gives you that right, via in-app feedback or our support contact.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under GDPR or CCPA). We will respond to verified requests as required by law.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe we have, contact us so we can delete it.

10. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective means you acknowledge the updated Policy, except where law requires additional notice or consent.

12. Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to hello@wksocial.com or through the in-app feedback options on The Mixer Hub.
